Women U19 One-Day Trophy: Odisha lose in VJD Method

Half-century by captain Subhra Nirjharini Swain ent in vain as Odisha lost to Maharashtra by 10 runs, via VJD Method in their third Elite Group-A league match of the BCCI Womens Under-19 One-day Cricket Tournament at NFRSA Ground in Guwahati (Assam) today. This was the second defeat for Odisha.

Put into bat, Odisha made 131, thanks to a 102-ball 53 by Subhra and an unbeaten 35 by Poonam Nayak. Chasing 132 for victory, Maharashtra were 106 for six in 34.2 overs when rain stopped play. Maharashtra were declared winners by VJD method.
